    Is this a BT-3000?

Hello. Looking at a used saw for sale but I do not know enough to ID just from the photos available (unable to get additional pics from seller). Machine is without its distinctive sliding table or router insert, and curious if it is a BT3000 or not.
    Thanks.

    Keywords: bt3000, bt 3000

Yep, that's an early model BT3000, from 1993-1994 by the open web in the elevation crank. The turning grip of the handle is broken off. It has the miter fence lying on top but nowhere to be seen, the miter fence holder the rip fence and the auxiliary/router table. Cost you about 50 bucks to buy eah of those as they come up on ebay. As always beware of the shim problem. Also it's hard to change the blades without at least one of the flat wrenches that come with. That'll cost you 10-20 to buy used.

Thank you for the detailed response. This is being sold for $25. I believe it's working, but it would be "a project". Early in my woodworking journey a friend who was moving asked me to sell his fully complete and working BT3000. I didn't know enough about the equipment then, so I didn't see the multi-tool value of it and just thought it was an old saw and sold it for $175 to split the money w/ my friend. I could probably have gotten it for free (I helped my friend move out!).

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

If it’s available to the public someone will grab it quickly and sell it for parts on EBay. I recently saw an early model like this at a flea market where someone had gutted the box and made a wood door for it and added a wood top. It was sold as a table/cabinet for a coffee maker in a break room. $100.
