Sliding Miter Fence replacement ends.

So a while back I had started with another members design here, and improved upon it (The design the other member had done was a 3 piece per end, mine is a single piece.). I put the design the the Creative Commons Share Alike license so anyone could print them out, and it turns out I didn't think to exclude commercial use of the design. And someone else is selling them.

Well I have come into a need to generate revenue as my company downsized me out of a job, and figured I would try my hand at selling these things..

If anyone is interested in them. They are direct replacements for the BT3x00 series saws sliding miter table fence end caps. My original prints were done in PLA filament which is great, if you never expose them to UV light.

The new prints I am doing are in PETG filament which is UV resistant and much less brittle compared to PLA. (Roughly similar to ABS but without requiring much more specialised printing equipment).

I am making them available in the safety orange shown in the pic below, or safety red somewhat similar to the throat plate (without the fading of course).

Combine these caps with "Painting The Red Line" and you will know much more easily if the cap is going to cross over into the path of the blade, thus giving you more information allowing for safer operating decisions.

Now you need to make a design for 3D printed miter fence angle pointer, that little orange thingey on the back to the miter fence.

That is on my to do list. That danged pointer gets aged out and / or lost a lot too... Is there a measured drawing for it somewhere or is this something that is going to require spending quality time with my digital calipers?

I know of no drawing, got to be measured

If you can't find the time or a source, I would be happy to take the measurements and draw you an orthographic (blueprint) detail drawing. I thought I had done this a few years ago when I joined a discussion here on the forum. I had made a sliding marker out of wood. As with seemingly most things these days, I can't locate either the slide or my drawing, but I'd be happy to make a new 'detail'.

I just need to take the time to take it off, draw it up in Sketchup, convert it to an STL and give it a rip on the printer...Time I don't really have right now with getting back off my butt as I am finally well enough to turn some work in, and my master suite has been a shambles for too long. Working on the closet today...

So I brought the fence into the office to measure it, now if only I could recall where I last used / left my calipers... I was setting up my auto bed leveler, I think...
