    Miter Fence Aluminum Clamp

I ordered the Miter Fence Aluminum clamp last weekend (Aug 8) and had it by (Aug 11) Tuesday. Fast.

Fits fine; slides better than the black plastic one does. Very satisfied with it. I don't have to worry about breaking this one.

    Raw aluminum? Anodized? Polished?
Doubt he anodized it, so is it going to oxidize to a nasty hazy finish?

Raw aluminum and polished. Nice looking. It is smoother sliding than the plastic one for sure. It (the body) is also wider by about 1/2 inch than the original, and therefore the wings that slide into fence are about 1/2 inch wider also.

You might want to keep it waxed to prevent oxidizing? A coating of clear acrylic? Be curious how it "ages".

Aluminum oxidizes instantly, and that coating is what keeps it protected. It's a very hard oxide layer like anodizing, and protects the metal. Wax may keep it shiny, but there's no actual need to protect the underlying metal.
