    Worth of this BT3000?

What would a BT3000 decked out like this one be worth. I was able to upgrade to a Unisaw and I need to sell this but I would not know what a fair price would be.

    Thanks!

Just a guess, but I'd say somewhere between $200.00 and $250.00. Do you have the blade guard?

    Ed
Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

      Hi Ed,

Yes, I have the blade guard, anti kickback attachment, extra long Miter Fence, short Miter fence, Fold up Table, couple of blades, etc.

They had that full setup like that in a store in Osaka back in '02 and '03 for the equivalent of $2000, while basic saw, with square stand and a kit with several items for less than $400 in the US. Then Ryobi dropped the price with updated saw (shims fixed) to $299, but it often went for 10 - 15% less.

Those prices above were without the wide table kit or the outfeed table or other extras that you mentioned.

but he's missing the miter fence hold down.

What its worth and what you will get may be two different things. It depends a lot on your patience.

Probably worth a lot more if you can deal with parting it out.

Its worth less sitting next to a Unisaw that you got a good deal on.

I ordered the Miter fence hold down for M&D Mower and should have it in my hot little hand today

                  Missing miter fence clamp. -$
                  Missing Riving Knife. -$
                  Missing Blade Guard. -$
Missing Dual Slot Miter Table. -$

Present Wide Table Kit. (Extra rails and connectors) +$
Present Extension wing (table top for Wide Table Kit). +$
                  Present Wide Table legs. +$
                  Present folding outfeed table. +$
Present extra wide miter fence. +$
Present. Early model cast metal handwheel. +$

Unknown. Since this is an early model, it may have the 13A motor. 13A -$, 15A +$.
Unknown quantity and type of blades.
Unknown quantity and type of throat plates.
Unknown presence of Router / Jigsaw accessory kit (mounting kit, throat plates, fence, dust port).

Your saw is just a hair over the line of accessories compared to mine when I bought it.

If you can scrounge up the blade guard riving knife, and miter clamp, I would not think that $300.00 for that saw would be unreasonable.

One of the board members expressed interest in it. I would like to sell it whole as I will need the shop space. But if the board member backs out of the purchase, I may consider it.

Thanks for the help and input guys!

The only thing it does not have that you mentioned above is the Dual Slot Miter. The rest I either have, or have ordered. That is if the riving knife has the anti kickback fingers on it.

Hopefully you will find a good loving home for it. I hate to see a perfectly good BT get parted out.

The MST was an accessory that only some users thought worthwhile. I doubt that it would even factor into price consideration for those willing to pay top dollar. The SMT was a huge selling point for this saw and folks that learned to use it never had need of a miter slot.

There are those of us that use both. Yes I use the SMT WAY more than the miter slot table. Honestly the MST is mostly used for certain pre made jigs, and simply to provide more table area...
