BT3000 w/ router and access kit for $250

I found this deal on Craigslist for the following items for $250. The pictures look good, I am going to take a look at it on Friday.

Ryobi BT3000 table saw and router table along with 1 1/4 hp Ryobi router. Items are approx 10yrs old and in good condition. The router was hardly used. Package comes with a lot of recently purchased accessories including a LH dual miter slot attachment, large dust bag. Have manuals.

If this one does not work out, I am considering a new BTS21 for $250 plus tax at HD or a used Ridgid TS2400 from eBay (local pickup).

I am new here and would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks,

    Hank

Based on what others have said around here, I think long term you won't be happy with the BTS21. I'd wait for another shot at the BT3x00 if this one doesn't work out.

send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send you the BT3 FAQ among its Q&A topics - buying a used BT3. You Should get this before Friday -
If you're looking for a more serious saw, I also don't think the BTS21 will do for you.

If it all runs thats a pretty good deal. Not "Smokin" but pretty good. If you can get a good BT3XXX then you will be way better off than with a BTS21. They are a good little saw but they will leave you wanting much more.

If you had to buy new I would add to the $250 and grab the RIdgid if they have some of the old ones you can still get a deall around $399. The granite topped saw is rather sweet but not many deals on that puppy.

          Hank,

As a prior owner of a BTS-21, and current owner of a BT3100, I would STRONGLY recommend you hold out for the BT3000 or BT3100. The BTS-21 is a fair saw, but leaves a LOT to be desired.

            New BT3000

I have a new BT3000 still in the box I am looking to sell. Idea was to set one of mine up with dado blade and never change it, but never got around doing it. Box in bad shape from sitting around, but never been opened. In Atlanta GA area though, so not really feasible unless you live close.
