    Woodworking on Oahu

Does anyone on this list live on Oahu?

I'm preparing for a move and I'm trying to decide if I want to pack all this stuff up.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Tks,

    John

I don't remember anyone here from Oahu or Hawaii. It does seem like someone there did have a BT at one time. But you will have good support from this forum.

There are quite a few folks who run woodworking, furniture-making and other craft businesses in HI, and supplement their income by sourcing the wide variety of local exotic woods to the turners in other parts of the country. One advantage they have is that USPS rates are the same from HI to the mainland as they are from you to your next-door neighbor.

My late uncle was an architect / woodworker in Kauai (sp)... Never been there to see them though. They moved when I was in Jr. High and frequently came back to the Pacific Northwest for visits...

I am pretty sure there are plenty of folks there doing WW. Just not many on here is all...
