I don't know if I paid that much for it new. I've had mine for 12 years or more, though, so some things that far back are kind of fuzzy. I bought it at Lowes if I remember correctly.
$400 seems a bit much, though. -

amazing to find such an historic relic still in an unopened box. I agree the price is way high but I am sure it will come down somewhat and sell eventually. IIRC I think I paid around $250 for my 3100 when on sale at HD.

When they were new to the market they cost more than that. Near the time that Ryobi upgraded to BT3100 the BT3K was selling on closeout for around $200. Even Costco was selling them. I agree this is over priced simply because there is no warranty support.Donate to my Tour de Cure
