    Bessey mini-clamps 2.97 each

I love these little guys. I picked up one to test a few weeks ago and liked how lightweight and small they are. They don't get in the way like larger clamps can. Seems well engineered. Now they are on sale at only 2.97, so I picked up a bunch.

I think I mentioned a while ago, I wasted money on a discount Bessey set at Lowe's a few years ago.

Well - I noticed these clamps at my local orange temple. Would have to say the they might work!

The OP clamps are rated at 300 lbs ----- which is the same as lightweight Jorgensen clamps --- but a bit more than the Irwin Quick Clamps (100 lbs).

I also noticed these at HD:

    http://www.homedepot.com/p/BESSEY-Cl...C4PK/205086977

At 600 lbs - these look fairly decent.

They're rated at 600 lbs of pressure.

They're still shy of my 1000 lbs Jorgensen heavy duty clamps -

Oh, yes. I did buy a set of their "four pack", although I'm pretty sure I have plenty already.

When Lowes discontinued selling bessey, they were clearance priced...maybe a year ago? I picked up some then, but only recently discovered the need to have an abundant supply of clamps at the ready....

I have about a dozen, Usualy cost about $5.
So i ordered another 4 for pickup.

I find then really good for small things like small assemblies or holding things to the bandsaw or drill press or table saw fences.

Picked up 4 today. May well grab some more if I am back at HD before they run out.

The 4 packs of Bessey clamps, 2-6" and 2-12" for $17.99 are a much better bargain.

agreed at pure $ per inch but the small ones are useful for smaller lighter weight glue ups and for general hold downs where you dont want things in the way.

agreed, the larger clamps knock over your work with their off-sides weight.
And the ends get in the way. It's handy to have small clamps.

When I ordered mine on-line they showed literally hundreds in stock at the local HD.

I also have a few of these rockler 5" bar clamps for the same reason and they ar $7.99 making the HD bessey deal even more sweet.

one issue with the smaller ones is that that the handle is small as well which is not as convenient.

Hey there, poolhound. Are those short, stubby blue clamps on sale at your local HD? Those are the ones which usually come with the Rockler Clamp-It Assembly Square (which are great, BTW). I've never seen them for sale apartment from the Assembly Square so, do you recall seeing them before this at HD? Lowe's has always carried the little red ones but never the blue ones.
                      Blessings,

Those blue clamps are the Rockler ones and I have never seen them anywhere else. I got the besseys as they are similar but have greater depth so felt they would be similarly useful. as a comparison here they are side by side.

I can't see it either, Jon.

Some kind of permissions problem. 403 error. "You don't belong here"
Looks like its in your dropbox folder
