    Trio @ woodcraft

Goodness, the price has dropped and dropped and dropped.

The Trio is being carried by Woodcraft for $55.

Not a lot of accessories available for it, though.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

That's the question I suspect Dremel hasn't been able to answer ---- ergo the price of the trio has dropped quickly.

If my memory serves me correct -- the original MSRP of the Trio was around $170.

This may contribute to the issue as well

                That was a stupid move.

                The Collet
A collet is the most precise way to hold an accessory (bit) in a high speed rotary tool or the Dremel Trio. The collet is located underneath the collet nut, inserted in the end of the tool’s shaft.

                Rotary tool collet
There are 4 different sized collets available to accommodate different accessory shank sizes from 1/8 inch down to 1/32 inch. It is essential to use the correct sized collet for each accessory. The collets are marked with corresponding shank size: no rings – 1/8 inch (480), 1 ring – 1/32 inch (483), 2 rings – 1/16 inch (482), 3 rings – 3/32 inch (481).

                Dremel Trio™ collet
The Dremel Trio tool uses a 3/16” collet for all Trio accessories. Trio accessories are exclusive to the Dremel Trio tool system and are not interchangeable with Dremel rotary tools. See your owner's manual for more detailed information on collets.

it sounds like I don't want or need one. A tool that doesn't take standard bits even of its own maker and no one can give a recommendation for.
