        Knotscott is equally respected source of information in my book. Thanks for pointing out my error. I would correct myself to say that Ryobi made many and probably the majority of the Craftsman routers in the period from at least the mid 1970's well into the early 2000s.

        The mounting hole pattern was distinctly that of Ryobi and Craftsman. I think the mounting hole pattern is perpetuated even today on the subsequent Craftsman routers and router tables. Ergo the unfortunate choice of hole patterns on the original BT3 router mounting plates took only certain Ryobi and Craftsman routers.
