For those not on Lee Valley's email list they are currently offering a 12 gauge, 15' Extension Cord for $9.50. This is a while supplies last sale so I'd get in on this as soon as possible if you're interested. That $9.50 even beats the Harbor Freight price they're asking for their 10' versions by half a buck.

Thank you. Tempted, but I really need one that will allow me to use more than one tool with it.RitaComment

just out of curiousity, I calculated the value of copper in this extension cord.
19.77 lbs per 1000 foot for 12 gauge copper wire.
15 feet x 3 conductor = 45 feet
total weight of copper =.89 pounds
30 day futures price of copper $4.20 per pound
Value of raw copper in $9.50 15-ft. 12 gauge extension cord = $3.73
not incl labor and overhead to draw, strand and insulate wire, jacket the cable, and to connect and mold plugs and package and ship to retailer.Last edited by LCHIEN; 09-12-2011, 08:52 PM.Loring in Katy, TX USA
If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I ended up buying a combined order with people from work which cut down on the shipping cost. Can't wait for them to arrive.- DaveComment
