for $150, how bad could it be? amazon showed the same saw for over $700. congrats on a good buy. a great price always makes a tool work better.
there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it.

Lowes is getting rid of all Delta power equipment & replacing with a Porter Cable equivalent. Watch out for some good deals guys. I've got my eyes on a drill press & maybe an 8" bench grinder.

I bought one when Amazon had them for $200 and added a Kreg fence. Some say they are poor quality but mine has been flawless so far.

            As for So Cal.
Lowes has strange clearance policies. Local store had one display and two in box Delta 14s marked CLEARANCE $399 and one new PC BS in the box for regular price #399
Although I would say the photo of the PC sure looked a lot more like a chaiwanese than a Delta.
I have clerk run sku thru scanner to be sure and it confirmed $399
Of the other bench tools they have a mix of delta, PC and Black and Decker. although the stock seems lower than times past.
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler

I like the looks of the PC better with the enclosed bottom frame, but I'm happy as can be with my $150 Delta BS I snagged a year ago.

I might have to see if my local Lowes will match the receipt price..

I wish I didn't sell my Hitachi BS when I moved.. Got it for $125 and sold it for $225..

Ha.. Wife said Maybe.. better than heck no..
She asked "Do you need a Bandsaw?" Well yeah sure I do

Looks like my local stores have sold out and brought in the PC saws..
Closest stores with them in stock are 60 miles away or 130 mi in the mountains.. Weekend road trip!

7%, that's lower than the Houston metro area... We have 8.25%... Then again California has income tax...

Ourl local store put it on clearance last weekend for $399. The store mgr refused to budge from that price but did say that 3 other small stores within 50 miles could reduce theirs lower because their 28-276's were non stock now and his were not. I figured he would not reduce the price even if he could and drove to one of the other stores and bought a display model for $300 + tax. If I waited I would see them on ebay next week like the rest of the clearance items the hawks seem to get before me. It seems like an ok saw, needs a good blade and the wheels need to be ballanced.

                            dbhost,

                            I'd kill for 7%

We have income tax and our tax rates bounce from 8.25% up to 10.25% in Chicagoland.

Does anyone know the lowes price match policy? I just took the receipt to a store in Houston and they would not price match it. They said they cannot price match from lowes...
