I checked my local Lowes today & they told me that they had marked the last 3 down this past weekend to $49.99. They also informed me that they were gone in 15 minutes. A quick check of the other Lowes in the system showed nothing anywhere in a 90 mile radius.

I picked one up for $32 today, it took quite a bit of effort.

I had nothing to do today except babysit my daughter, she likes riding in my truck so we went for a ride around the city. I visited 4 Lowes and found prices from $199 (manager would not budge on price) to $99 for a floor model missing some parts. On my way to Lowes number 5 my daughter fell asleep, so I went for a long ride down some country roads and drove past a Lowes I had forgotten about. These guys had it for $50, my daughter taking a nap was good luck!

I had a $10 off $50 coupon left over from earlier this month, plus a gift card I got for %20 off last Black Friday. So $50, minus coupon, minus 20%, equals $32.

Enough Already!!!! My original gloat (bargain alert) for 99.60 should have been enough but I did't score a single usuck, instead you guys just had to rush out and trample all over my gloat, making me look like I overpaid. It went from 99.60 to 67.25 to 67 to 51.33 to 47 to 32 dollars! Thanks alot. I made a copy of this thread, took it to my Lowes tool manager- he felt so sorry for me that he gave me two of them for a nickle and free popcorn for life. So There!! you gloat bustin bargain alertists- Take that!!!!!! I SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't said outright, but you certainly do deserve one.

The way this is going, somebody is going to post that they were paid to haul one off.

Cat, you suck and thanks for posting your find and starting me on my journey to a $32 dust collector. Stay away from Waxhaw because I probably created a black hole at the register.

Uh, yeah, about that, they would only give me $150, so I said "no" ;-)

Seriously, $150 is the best markdown around here, they won't budge. May try an out-of-town Lowes while travelling next week, but not hopeful at this point.

Don't give up... Stop in and ask every week. They will give in sooner or later. They don't want dead stock, despite what they might tell you.

On my trip around the city two Lowes managers told me that this weekend is their "Non Productive Inventory Clearance", they do this every quarter at the end of the quarter. One manager told me that there will be significant dealing done on Sunday afternoon to get non productive items off the books. Several stores had tables outside filled with clearance items, others seemed to have no clue there was a quarterly clearance. If your store showed evidence of a clearance go back this afternoon, talk to someone wearing a blue jacket, and make a reasonable offer like $100. The worst they can do is say no, but you may get lucky.

Well, they raised the price back to $199 as of this morning - they had reduced it to $150 over the weekend.

                        Oh, well, maybe next week.

                            powerful enough??

do you think that the 50-720 is powerful enough to clear a 20 ft DC system with 4 blast gates?? Or should I hold off and wait for a good sale on a 1200cfm model?
It seems that it is designed to roll from machine to machine, and not to hook up to a DC system.

1 HP, 650 CFM is probably not enough to be using a lot of piping and joints. More likely this machine should be used mobile with a short run of 4" flex hose.

For whoever is interested - the Lowes at I-10 and Fry road in Katy has a 50-720, it's marked as clearance for $199, I tried to check the price in the computer but the checkout girl didn''t know how to look up prices.
Bring one of the receipts above, maybe they will price match.
