too short in my opinion. The construction is not there for the job, weighing only 73 pounds.
The critical item in a jointer and surface planer is the length, you cannot straighten and flatten boards more than about 5 feet with this 36-inch or so bed.\My 6" jointer weighs 200+ pounds and has a 48" bed. While 10" width is nice, you'll miss the longer bed and beefy construction of a real 6" jointer, more importantly.
