FYI, the flyer said "At least 10 per store" and the Rockler guy told me that they will sell out very quickly, so if you want one, plan on getting there early. They open (at least mine) at 7am.

I know this is the wrong forum but I have one of these that I purchased for a friend who changed his mind. For anyone close to me in So. CA., you can come and pick it up for what I paid for it, $100. It's assembled, brand new, never used. ( I think I made two cuts on it.)

Anyone know if this deal would be available online? Probably not, but having a $100 rockler card and no store within reasonable driving distance makes me ask. Plus I am in the market for a jointer.

200+ pounds will cost you a fortune to ship...

                One available in Pittsburgh area

I'm near Pittsburgh, and it looks like they will go quick.

I have an "extra" one - long story. I have an "extra" on the Craftsman pro planer, also (another long story).

Both are new and unused, but the jointer is assembled.

So if anyone misses out and is interested, send me a PM.

Great. I paid somewhere around $300 for this same jointer a year and a half ago.

Oh well... I seem to have a knack for buying things just before they go on sale. From now on I'll let you all know when I'm about to buy a big-ticket item so you guys can watch for the sale/closeout/whatever on the same thing.

This is my first jointer, and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. As somebody said earlier, starting with square, flat stock is worth the time and effort!

That and the Wilton 12" planer and you're all set. Now I've just got to find the $300 and my alarm clock...
