If you have an ad blocker or pop-up blocker you need to turn them off, or really just add a filter for live.com, close your browser completly and try again. I couldn't see it using firefox until I did this because "Adblock Plus" was blocking it, but now I always see it and I'm still blocking most ads/pop-ups that I don't want to see on other sites.

      Dustmight,

Thanks for the explanation. A couple questions:

You say, "Note that the discount is subject to change without notice....it has and will change but you won't know when until after. 30% is as high as I've seen it." Are you saying that I'll start out a purchase thinking I'll get 25% or 30% back, but by the time I complete the formalities it may go up or down from that? But that the final figure will still show up somehow when I'm about to click the final "Submit" button?

You say, "You're allowed up to 6 cashback transactions per Ebay account...each transaction has a cap of $200." Am I right in interpreting this to mean that I can do multiple sessions, days or weeks apart, so long as I don't exceed 6 total such transactions? And is a "transaction" a single SKU item, or a single set of items (e.g., buying multiple items from the same vendor at the same time, like a saw and blades)?

The discount you see is valid for your 60 minute session, but other than that it changes seemingly randomly. I think the max changed to 12 transactions just yesterday but I haven't confirmed that. Each Paypal transaction counts as one, up to $200 per. You can buy multiple items from one vendor as one Cashback transaction. The final amount you'll save should show throughout.

          No cashback banner in E-bay.

I enter E-bay through the MS Live search offering 30% rebate. Once inside E-bay, there is no banner or reference to the cash back bonus. I am using IE and my ad blocker is turned off.

I tried a buy it now for a Cadex pin nailer and it offered me the confirmation of the purchase. I did not accept because I did not see the banner.

The Cashback promo has been temperamental for the past 24 hours or so. Sometimes not showing on Live.com, sometimes showing but not resulting in the active banner on Ebay, sometimes working normally.... It has both worked and not worked for me as recently as this morning.

I am pleased to have gotten a $500 Lowe's card for $469 minus 30% ($328.30). If I can find a 10% coupon to go with that, it'll be a pretty good deal!

If you are enable to get it to work, just keep trying.

I tried about 20 times over the last day or so, finally got it.

It's seems to be working consistently again and is still 30%, but who knows for how long? Even if you don't need tools, you can buy silver or gold bullion or gift cards for 30% off....it's like buying cash at a 30% discount!

                  Down to 25%

deals Down to 25% now it seems still good deal f the price is on-par and no gameplaying with the shipping.

or still 35% with that fall coupon code... if it works for you?

all the tools i want ,the merchant has 3rd party-checkout so not eligible ! grrrr.

                  looking out for a bosch ps20-2a driver and a PC 423mag circ.saw.
will still need a drill, think i'll wait for the ps30 from bosch to come out next month.

                      The rebates apply to merchants,......

that are working with Microsoft, if it is an individual I do not think the rebate applies. Please correct me if I am wrong

That's nuts isn't it?! (I've been focusing on silver this past week)

You gotta watch for the new listings then move fast! I bought a $500 Lowes gift card for $469, minus the 30% Cashback. Then nabed a 20% HD coupon, and to hedge my bet I got a 10% Lowes coupon. They actually took the 20% coupon at Lowes towards a $568 door that I payed for with the gift card. I ended up saving $311 (46%) on a patio door, lockset, and the Load & Go truck rental. Looks I've got the Little Lady's 50th BD gift all taken care of!

                            ...Mighty proud at that maneuver!

                                Dead?

This appears to be dead, at least for now. I did my part, however. I bought $1,300 worth of credit at HD & Lowes for $905.

The builder is just putting the finishing touches on my new garage/workshop, so I'm sure I'll find a way to spend that credit!
