i was looking online, but was wondering if anyone here has any experience with or heard of that brand and maybe in particular that model (they didnt specify in the ad).

No personal experience with Laguna. But I know they are a very high end brand. So high end, it's not in my price range .

It sounds like a one off of a 14 inch prototype that laguna was considering selling. It looks slightly different than the 14 inch they have in production.

just introduced a "platinum" line
appears to be more home hobbyist oriented than most of their older stuff
they now have a table saw ($1500) similar to a Delta Unisaw rather than the older European styles in $3000 and up range
As far as I recall the smallest bandsaw they ever made was 14''
And the fence is not like any one I recall or in new catalog
But read the ad closer this was a One-Off model so may not match anything else
The paint/graphics does not match what the catalog shows as current design.
Laguna tools plus and minuses have been widely discussed on other woodworking forums

Yep, I think Ryan got it (prototype that never went forward). I am surprised they would sell it, you can state as-is, no warranty all you want, but if someone has a mishap and no owners manual, whew!

Size-wise, it looks like their LT-14, which is a 14".

Laguna makes top-notch bandsaws. A demo unit would checked out and made right.
I don't see how you could go wrong for $350.

There have been discussions about sub-par customer service from Laguna (mostly at SMC, but I think Woodnet, too). If it runs I wouldn't let it bother me. But if I think I may need parts to fix any issues, then $350 may even be too much.

$125 off the $1475 price tag on a base model Platinum? Since they've now started using CL to shed unwanted items, will be interesting to see what they might post up.

slightly used only like new other wise. This is the cadillac of band saws. comes with 2 extra blades brand new.The resaw cap. is 11 1/2".Also has two speeds. What else is there to say. J D 818 XXX-XXXX

That's just wrong. I don't mind capitalism and selling for a profit but seems like false advertising to me since it's not an actual laguna bandsaw. It was a prototype that was given to laguna by a manufacturer which laguna decided not to use.
