I am in the same position, I need four mobile base units, which will be more than what I can afford to pay. When you mentioned BORG, is that a store?

It is usually referred to as HD, but it can be Lowes or other stores. I've heard the acronym described as BIG OLD RETAIL GIANT. Most of the time i would assume HD, but if that doesn't pan out, you might look at Lowes etc.

i think the prevailing sentiment is that BORG refers specifically to Home Depot. It stands for Big orange retail giant, the orange referring to the predominant color scheme of the stores. It's also a play on the star trek theme, the Borg will assimilate you.
Lowes and Home depot are collectively known as the retail giants or the box stores sometimes.
Home Depot is also kown by its initials, HD.

That's how I've always interpreted it and have never used it to reference Lowes.
