    portamate

went to three So. Calif stores, pictures, sku number, talk to several people no one have ever seen them and it doesn't come up in the computer.

I found te electrical extensions, but thay are regular price. When I show them the receipt and sku number the price was higher thankstock price. The exact box and item the only difference is that two numbers at teh end are different.

If anyone in the inland empire/ San Gabriel valley find any of the portamate or the electrical extension, please send me a PM. Thanks

I checked with a friend who runs the Pro desk at HD and he found that all Minneapolis/St. Paul area stores have 12 units on order, due to arrive 11/20.

You're next in line - after me!
You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...

        portamate

That would be something. What sku number your friend looked at?

I stopped at two other stores today, and they click the number in the tread and nothing comes up. Since I have the color copy of the box, I have asked, and every worker I asked, claimed they never seen it.

I had a very courteous young lady who spend about 20 minutes, looking in the computer trying different ways of finding the porta mate,

The same issue with the extension cord, they all come out either $29.95 or $34.95.

I wish someone who has worked at HD can explain how their sku work and why prices vary from store to store.

If anyone sees the portamate in San gabriel or innad empire in california, let me know.

Shipments do vary from store to store (namely timeframe). This was across from the tools in mine, in there seasonal section. They may be holding out, out there for Black Friday on the stand.

As to the extension cord, YES they are still that price. My post is a PRE ALERT, that MAY happen again this year, as it did last year. We will bring up old posts from time to time to ask questions, make statements, or generally request an update. There is a yellow bar in the post that shows the date posted, many of us learned this the hard way.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Thought I'd bump this thread again.

For those of you looking for the HD SKU number, its 706-527.

You can call the Pro desk and they'll check the HD area inventories.

Minneapolis/St. Paul area is due for a big shipment 11/20.

BTW, looking at Portamate website shows that they are now owned by HTC thus this base is likely the HTC1000.

                  Supply in Richmond VA

A full just opened case was in the Richmond VA store.

Tool area employee said these had just arrived.

New box of these found in the seasonal tool section in the Leesburg store. Bought two last night and set one up. Nice unit, great price.

I got one of these a few months ago at Menards for around $45. I have a 10" bandsaw on a metal stand on this mobile base. So far it has worked out great for me. I would buy it again.

Got one at Lancaster PA store. They had 12 in stock. Assembled and now residing under my drill press. I have a HTC 2000 under my planer and it has functioned well. Seems the 1000 is of the same quality.

When I went the other day, they had no more then 15. I went to go pick one up today, and didn't see them (thought I missed it again). Walked down the tool isles, and found a bigger display right in the middle of the tools, between the Ridgid drill press, and the Jointer. I am thinking of throwing back another, before black friday hits.
