    My thoughts exactly.

I'm not sure Ebay can keep on the way it has. Tiffany and a couple of other brands have sued after finding 60-90% of the Ebay items listed under their brands were fake.

      central machine tools on site

last week on the LA tv news they featured a website which resold items that municipal police depts were dumping after the required legal time.
      I think it was www.propertyroom.com
when i checked what was offered under tools (actually quite a lot)
      80 percent was from HF.
So is this stuff a real target of theft, or maybe is it the tool of choice for the drug lab operator? could also be stuff recovered by police that was just thrown out the truck window by unhappy users
      puzzling

Resell value! Come on! HF retains 85% of its resell value for 10 years! It's resell value is better than a Honda!

I think the owners were glad to have it stolen and used that as a excuse to get something else.

I think we need a new sub-forum. We could call it HF Bashing. One could unwind and bash Harbor Freight as much/often as one likes.

Bashing aside. You just have to pick and choose which items you get from there. I bought a roller stand for my table saw and for $14 I did not expect perfection. I did expect it to work and it does perform its function quite well. I don't expect it to outlive me nor do I expect that one day I will look at it and it will fall to pieces in front of my eyes. It's all in having a good eye for the quality of a tool that fits what you want it to do. If you want a tool for a job and have a small budget then HF fits the bill for that cheap throw away tool. If on the other hand you want a tool that you can beat to darn near death and have it ask for more then HF is not the place to buy that tool.

That's funny because a few months ago my wife was commenting that she doesn't know how much postage to put on envelopes when she sends photos to friends. The next day I received an email coupon for a tiny digital scale from HF. I can't imagine another use for a scale of this size other than drug dealing. I'm sure I'm on some DEA list now.

                If only HF sold pseudoephedrine...

That's pretty funny! Does that scale measure in grams? LOL.

No drug dealer would ever trust a scale from HF! The scales are for measuring the amount of dust collected by an HF dust collector each decade.
