I just spent the last two hours driving around to all the Lowes store nearby and tried to see if I can get this unit pricematched. The last attempt was at the Lowes Schaumburg Il corner of Barrington Rd. and Schaumburg Rd.

Had the item in my cart and went to the cashier and asked her if they match prices at other Lowes store and she said definitely and then after she saw the copy of the receipt she called the manager. Stood there for two minutes and finally the manager showed up and said that we do not match prices at other Lowes store, we only match competitors prices like Home Depot, etc. The manager was such a pr1ck about it and was a little embarassing because there were a lot of people at the line. Told myself that this will the last attempt because I can't deal with these people talking to me like this

    Thanks, I needed to vent.

P.S. I wish Aimlesssoul can hook me up and maybe snatch the remaining one at the Naperville Il store for me and I'll drive over there this week to pick it up from him.

I wish you luck on this. You bring up an interesting point regarding competitor price matching. I wonder if you could go across the street and try to get a "competitor price match" at the Home Depot.

Anyone purchase this and have a receipt they can share?

        Thanks,
        Ryan
Yup, that looks like the same one. I didn't buy it at the time, they had a huge stack of them and I was really only interested in the tubing, clamps and gates (not any of the elbows or t's) so I passed. Tried picking up the HF set, but they didn't have any in stock. Check the other post here in the bargain section, looks like it's $39 now.

I tried to get my Lowes in So Cal to PM the receipt but the manager said "no go". He wouldn't lower his cost at all. They were closing it out for $186.

Anyone else in CA able to get one at this price?

Did you put the air cleaner in your cart and take it up to the register and tell them you want to PM the scan, or did you have the "tools dept manager" mark the price down for you?

I talked to the tools dept mgr, he said he couldn't discount that much and he went to go talk to the sales manager. That guy went in the back, called his boss, and his boss said 'no'. He didn't even offer me any other price.

Maybe the best thing is to just take it up to the cashier and tell them you want to PM to the receipt scan.

I talked to the guy in the tools department and he went and talked to the manager. Not sure if he talked to the tools manager or the store manager but they gave the okay instantly. They signed the copy of the receipt and they told me to take it to the register for check out. At the register the cashier called the extension given on the receipt to confirm and did the PM. I guess it depends which manager is on duty?

Can you blow up a scanned receipt? The clarity and size makes it very hard to read when I print it.

I used the receipt on page one of this thread. If you click the image it will open a new browser which will display the receipt on the full page where the print out will be much larger. Hope this helps.

There is one in the Aurora store on Orchard, but the price listed is $120 I think. I already have one, so I haven't tried to get it for lower, but I haven't had any luck with Lowes price matching other Lowes recipts. Nice to know there are other Chicagoians here!

Got a display item for the price of 54.75$. They matched the price at naperville store. They were sold out on new ones when I visited them today morning. A friend of mine told me that there was a display one for 120$. I talked to the parts guy who called the store manager and he accepted the price match. Now, probably, it will just lie in my garage for some time.
