    Ambient Air Cleaner at Lowes

Just purchased a Delta Shopmaster AP100, 400 CFM air cleaner with work light for $54.75 at the Lowes in Temecula, Ca. Original price was $219. Have not tried it out yet, will let you know if it's any good. I got the last one in a box, the only was left was the floor demo. Don't know if this is at all Lowe's or not.

Was $109 at my local lowes. They also had a dust collection hook-up package with a bunch of elbows, clamps, 3-4 blast gates and 20' of hose for around $55. Wonder if it's worth it.

$219 here (Buford, GA). Most Lowes clearance items are local (at least for determining price) but some things (like the heaters) are national. I would've gladly paid $54.75 for it, and finally get rid of my high-tech air cleaner (i.e. a box fan with a filter strapped to it).

          Ambient Air Filter Installed

Update: Installed the air filter this PM. Hung it over the TS. Seems to move a lot of air and of course is adding noise. There is also a work light in the bottom of it, takes 2-18x1" 15 watt flourescent bulbs, they are kind of weak but any extra light by the saw is good. I guess time will tell how it performs.

Physically checked four different stores and strucked out. All of them have it but it was priced at $219.00.. You got a great deal on that item. Do you know if the store you got it from have more?

Ask the Tool Mgr for a discount.

If it is not marked down in your Lowe's, ask the mgr of the tool dept for a discounted price. That's what I did today. He wouldn't go to $54 for the AP100, but did drop the $219 price to $99, so I bought it. (Yes it is loud. Glad to see the thread on dust masks and hearing protection.) It is not an open stock item. Lowe's cost is $154.

I asked for a discount on a PC ROS. He wouldn't drop the price because it is an open stock item. FYI the price is $59 on the display, and $54 on the shelf.

The store was sold out of PC biscuit joiners @$99. I paid ~$160 for mine, which was a good price. If you can find one for $99, it's a steal!

Thanks rags for posting the receipt. The burbank , ca store still has one left, nib plus the display as of tonight. They were marked at $219 but without blinking they processed the price match when I showed them your receipt for $54.75. Seems like this unit is a bit on the loud side based on previous posts but for 25 cents on the dollar no complaints here.

Does this use triangular filters? Are they available only from Delta? At what cost?

Thanks for posting the receipt, Rags! I'll see if a pricematch deal will work here in Illinois.

Michael - was this the same kit you saw? I forgot to check for it when I was there earlier tonight.

                            Thanks for posted receipt....

I just scored the AP100 air cleaner, using the receipt posted. The Naperville Lowe's has one left, so you can find one there. Thanks again for the heads up and the receipt. Now if okstatefan will post his receipt for the dust collector, I will try for that.
I am in shape. Round is a shape!
