Found the ones available at the Algonquin Illinois store off of Randall Rd. I bought 3 of them and there are 15 of them left.. These are located across the carpet aisle along with the other extension cords. Tag says $10.49

    Good luck!

HD on Fry Rd in Katy had 33 of them for $10.49 when I got there. SKU 190-864.
When I left, they still had 33. I looked for at least 15 minutes and the HD guy looked for another 15 minutes before I gave up.

What a way to run a store.

They actually had some green, 14-ga. versions of the same thing for $15.99 in the Christmas stuff along the aisles.

I checked two stores in KS and one would not budge on the 34.95 price, the other offered one to me for 24.95. Even had the copy of receipt posted earlier. There does not appear to be any consistancy at any of these stores in the midwest. Looks like a heck of a nice cord though. Good luck to all that can get them for the $10 price!!!

          Mass/NH line

The closest NH store said they have 8 in stock.

The Tewksbury store said they have 24 in stock.

Will go tommorrow to the store to see if I can find them.

Both stores listed them at $10 and change.

Thanks for this post. This is a great find and a great addition for my shop. Home depot in RD, UT had 8. I bought 3, 1 for me and 2 for gifts.

After 2 unsuccessful attempts here on Long Island, I decided to try one of the newest HD's in the area and they had an open box just above the extension cord display area. I got two at 10.49 each. The salesman was even familiar with them saying he had had them on display but because they are a special sale item they get shoved in the back of things after the initial surge of interest, there being no regular place for them.

$10.49 is the market price in York, PA Market Street store. They have 5 or so on the shelf and another 20 or so in overhead storage. They are in black and yellow boxs, pretty easy to see.

The south Nashua, NH store has 2 left (now that I have 2 of them). They were with the seasonal Christmas lighting stuff, all the way at the far end from the front door (turn right as you enter). I have to say that I am impressed so far with the quality of these cords...

Finally found them in the local northern Wisconsin (Rhinelander) store. They were in a small cardboard display box on the floor by the building material desk. Price said $34.98 but I was feeling lucky & took one to the self-serve checkout. It rang up at $34.98 so I put it back.

I don't understand why something like this is on clearance at so many stores for the $10.48 price but some stores still have them at regular price. Any ideas?

according to a department manager here, they sold them all at 10.48 or whatever, then deemed the sku inactive. so it jumped back up to 34.98. now they are getting new shipments of them.

kind of makes you scratch your head doesn't it?

Wow. Just got the new LV Xmas catalog today. The exact same cord is going for $42.50. Souderton, PA store has a case (minus one) of them on the floor of the cord section for $10.50. The 12ga is impressive. I could probably tow a jeep with it in a pinch.
I like Wagoneers too. Hey...they've got wood

For once one of my local stores actually had one of the bargain alerts from this forum! I checked a couple Borgs nearby and ONE has a display of these set up - in the same isle as other extension cords amazingly enough - at the $10.48 price. There were quite a few in the stack.
