been buying and selling on E-Bay for years and years, but never thought to look for magazine subscriptions until your recent post.
Picked up the Wood 3 yr sub for under $22 which doesn't seem to bad. Thanks for the tip.

Didn't work for me. I'm up for renewal. Called, asked, customer service said 14 issues for $28 was all they currently had running. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

You could try this - I have ordered magazines from Ebay for a while now, but I usually only order from those who have been around for a long time and have a lot of ratings (good, of course). This guy has the former, but not that many of the latter, so it would be a bit of a gamble:

I just called a was able to renew my subscription for 3 years at the $28. The automated system offered 1 year for $26. I said no and pressed "0" to get a live person. Told her I wanted to renew and heard about a deal for 3 years at $28. She never even questioned it.

Many of these magazines have a lot of repetitions, but this offer works out to around $1.33 per issue; and when I am waiting for LOML outside the parlor, I'd rather read about dovetail jigs in the car than about Oprah's weight problems indoors !

I don't subscribe to Wood but it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Called the number listed above, and asked for three years for $28. They asked for an offer code and I told them I just had a note to myself to call and get the special rate. "No problem" she said. Done and done.

I just called Customer Service on Monday and asked for 3yrs at $28. She asked for an offer code, and I told her I didn't have one. She said that she would find one, and that they would send me an invoice.
