If you missed these the first time, there may be some hope. [8D] I called and looked all over Orlando when these first came into the Big Lots stores. Several stores acknowledged they had had them in stock but sold out just a day or two before I called. Tonight, I stopped in the store on South Orange Blossom Trail and they had two of them. Bought them both.
If you don't find them at first, keep checking. Either Big Lots has some still shipping to the stores, or the individual stores have not put out all the stock they received.

Thank you for the hopeful words jgunning. I hope there is some way our big lots here in town will get them. I just don't have a whole lot of hope. I went in with a printed picture of the box from this thread. I had the picture of the box and the sku. The girl I spoke with said "Nope, I've worked here for two years, and I have never seen that item." She was cool with me, and very matter of fact about the whole thing. I will keep stopping in though.

Thank you again for the ray of hope!

I stopped by the BL on Mason in Katy tonight just for the heck of it and there are still ZERO Record vises there. Which means that Bubba Dog and Don, Houston, like me, have not returned theirs either.[)]

A few have shown up on ebay. New, in the box. Certainly from Big Lots. They seem to go for around $60-70, plus shipping.

I want one, and I want to pay $29.99 for it!! I have had relatives check several stores in other towns. No luck.

The ones on eBay that pnctar noted above, the first one you can see the BigLots inventory/price tag on the top of the box. The second one says 'brand new [u]in</u> box', with a picture of it sitting on [u]top</u> of the box[].

            Loring,
Don and I were waiting for you to return yours first....

Anybody want a vise? I've got 2 here just waiting for someone to claim. I have been to my local Big Lots about 5 times over the past 3-4 weeks or so looking for one of these with no luck. Just happened to be at another store about 30 minutes from me today and they had THREE![:0] I took one, then figured I might as well pick up the other 2 just in case someone here wants one.

I don't want to make a profit just the $31.79 (sales tax here in PA) plus shipping. Of course they are heavy, so I don't know what shipping would be, but if someone is interested, email me and we'll work something out.

Please put me down for one.

A call to UPS might reveal the shipping costs to Chicago?

Todd, I definitely want one of those vises if you still have one. Can send check, M.O., but would prefer PayPal if you're a member. Couldn't get the email feature to work here, but you can reach me directly at jlyon@hotmail.com
                  Thanks.

                    Man you guys are quick![:0]

I hate to give bad news, but I logged back on to say that I only have 1 vise now. I promised one to my brother-in-law if he wanted. I sort of jumped the gun listing them here so quick. Sorry.[8)]

Well first come first served ... JP you got it. I'll check for shipping costs tomorrow and email you. Jeff, if something happens you'll be the first to know. I'm going to keep checking my nearby store as well.

As I mentioned days ago, I am interested in one, if anyone happens across an extra and is willing to buy and ship it. A BL manager offered to try to find one from another store. I've called him twice; he promises to check and call back, but never does. I've given up hope for finding one myself. If someone gets lucky and is willing to help out, I would greatly appreciate it.
