    Darn it, misplaced another tool.

I've been thinking of a project where I need some precisely located holes.
Many years ago I know I bought some drill guides and inserts that are steel sleeves that can be inserted into wood templates for non-wearing guides for multiple holes. You can make a wood template but do 30 or more holes you sart to wallow out the template if its just wood.

I know I got them from Lee Valley, I thought they are in the tool chest where I keep my miscellaneous drilling stuff that sees low usage but I can't find it anywhere.

I'd order another set but I'm looking at $43 for just the sizes I need, when I know I've got a complete set somewhere.

    Darn it!

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Good luck, I'm glad I'm not the only person in the world who spends far too much time searching for tool that I know I have..... somewhere!

Ah, OK, I found them. My memory was off, I thought I bought a whole set, but I only bought a pair of 1/4" bushings. Looked up Lee Valley and they had order records from 2007!

So I went back looking for a smaller object and found them in the corner of a drawer where I looked 3 times before, expecting something larger.

Anyway, that's not the only thing missing but was the most vexing. Sometimes we remember things slightly differently than they are. Is that a sign of increasing age or general human failing?

On a different topic, looking at the invoice at LV, the prices in 2007 for these things were half of what it is today.

Country of Origin, probably Canada. Lee Valley is in Canada. They ship from Canada, anyway.
      Too much stuff? Definitely.

    The problem is 'TOO' !

Not as in 'Tools" but rather as in:

Too much stuff, Too little time, Too busy, Too many interuptions.
