If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Technically from a engineering POV, its very bad to put the record player tonearm in the same box as the speakers. Feedback from vibrations will shake the cabinet and shake the tonearm giving unwanted feedback to the cartridge, causing distortion and other effects even positive feedback at some frequencies and cancellation and mushiness at other frequencies. All terrible for the music, the louder played the worse it will get.

Just an engineer's thoughts, Crap we ruin everything, spoil all the fun.

Being a Re-engineer I can see the functionality of this record player. When it was first built as a rectangular cabinet it stuck out in the walkway on the right side, everyone walking by whacked their leg on it so they beveled the ends to solve that problem….. and whalah it looked like a coffin! Wonder where the record storage is. With all that empty storage between the tiny speakers and everything? More re-engineering required here!
