My daughter is mad at me!

My nearly 50 year old single daughter in MO is mad at me. Yesterday morning she sent some photos of several large tree limbs down in the yard and some hanging down. South Centra MO had some strong straight-line winds come through and knocked down power lines in her neighborhood but hers were OK. I did some work in my home area and some churches early, and then drove up here Monday evening, a 5 1/2 hour drive. After cutting numerous big limbs into pieces and wanting to haul it to her back yard for burning this morning, I went to get her 42" mower, but it would not start and has not started this year she said. So I couldn't use it to haul limbs in a large wagon behind the mower. I did have my small lithium jump charger with me and got the mower going. IF it stopped I had to jump it off again.

After getting the limbs cut up with my 20" chain saw and hauling them to the back of the house, I went to work on the mower. It needed a new deck belt. Went to Lowes and go one. The first tutorial showed about 30 - 40 minutes to replace the belt. I found another tutorial that said only about 10 - 15 minutes at the most. I looked through it and said I could do that. I replaced it in less than 15 minutes. Then went to Wally World and bought the same power (CCA) battery as Lowes for half the price.

The mower works fine now. I asked who had been cutting her grass. She told me she paid a service $75 every other week. Then she looked at me and said, "Gee thanks dad (sarcastically) now I have to start cutting it again - myself!"

We have to help our kids!

I guess she would be ok for you to leave the cut up limbs in the front yard for her to haul to the back yard and burn? Not likely? Kids

She did as much of the "pick up" of the limbs as I did - as I was cutting the limbs with the chain saw.

Middle daughter: No kids, never married. Since she was young she enjoyed our travels and loves traveling now. She has been to far more countries that LOML and I have and we traveled Most countries in SE Asia. Every other year, she takes an overseas vacation or 1 to 2 week cruise somewhere, often with a sister, niece or friend. The non-overseas/cruise years, she picks a few states, studies the history or other special attractions and drives there. If very special amusement parks (which she loves) she invites a couple of nephews and a niece and takes them. She loves her independence. She was the first in our family to travel to all 50 states.

Our oldest daughter (4 sons, 1 daughter) lacks one state (Alaska) for her "all 50".
LOML lacks Wisconsin (and this middle daughter and I will drive her there this fall or next spring)
I completed my "all 50" this June by traveling to Mass for a granddaughter's wedding. I hit NY, Conn. RI. NH, Maine, and VT during that trip, completing the "all 50".

Our youngest daughter (also 5 sons and 1 daughter) lacks about 10 states but doesn't like traveling for travelings sake. She wants to know someone there before she travels.

Tell her to put $75 in a jar every time she mows and then do something fun with it at the end of the mowing season.

This is certainly the one daughter that does things like that - and consistently too!
