Just goofing around and this happened.

Someone was telling me that a miter had to be 45°. I was arguing that as long as both sides added up to 90° it would be perfect. Anyways the discussion boiled down to me making this picture frame to prove my point. Click image for larger version

That reminds me of a Texas friend of mine in Japan who worked with some Japanese contractors and asked them to make a 1.5 meter by 1.5 meter recessed area around the lights in the living room and dining room, recessed upwards of the normal ceiling about 6 inches (150mm) and the edging inside the box be angled like our crown molding is. The construction guy was there and so was the technician/computer guy. The technician took about 30 minutes and said it could not be done. Bill asked if he bought a sample the next day, could they build it? The technician said it could not be done. The construction guy said yes.

The next day, Bill took them a 1.5 meter square box with a crown molding on the inside made with a sliding miter saw. The technician/computer guy was in awe, the construction guy understood.
