G1182 has been discontinued, why? I don’t know! -
Looks like a Delta clone. Like the 14” Delta band saw, they were copied by everyone, and like the Delta jointer they were sturdy and had little engineering problems. Parts are readily available. Blades are reasonably priced and easy to change and set up. I have the DELTA JT360 Shopmaster 6-Inch 3/4-Horsepower Open Stand Jointer, 115/230-Volt 1 Phase, I Think the going price “used” is $400). I I needed a jointer and everything checks out serviceable I wouldn’t hesitate on this one rather than a benchtop machine.

I have that Delta model.
$250 for that Grizz model seems pretty reasonable.

Good buy. I recently got a JP0610 which still had factory creosote on the table and fence, for twice as much. But jointers of this quality (both yours and mine) are worth every penny.

If it is in Ohio and I may be wrong to assume that you are in Colorado (I know, I know, we are not supposed to assume!!!
) - are you going to pick it up or have it shipped? the first thing I thought of was shipping costs.

About 5 years ago (not 5 years and 20 days) - I moved from Durango to West by Gawd.
Wheeling Dude just doesn't have the same kind of ring.
I'm still a thousand feet above insanity, though ----- I sit on a mountain overlooking the Ohio River.

A good jointer is a game changer. I also have that same open stand Delta which I picked up for a song (< $100) as an open box when Lowes dumped their stock years back. I upgraded it with a Byrd helical head a few years ago that cost more than the jointer did. Motor is a little challenged but with lighter cuts and adjusted feed rate its is awesome. And no more changing or adjusting knives!
That said I am pretty sure I still have the old head with the knife clamps/screws and a bunch of spare 6" knives sitting in the shop somewhere (some may even be sharp). If any of you guys would like them they are yours just let me know.
