    Now I've seen it all!

I just passed our local Twice The Ice machine and notice they have added another machine. A dang corn despensing machine that appears to work like the ice machine! Knowing that this is a really big deer hunting area and now baiting deer is legal I'm not that suprised with this contraption, just kinda suprised to see it considering its potential cost to install. I bet that someone passing through and not knowing the circumstances would really wonder what it is about.

you feed the deer. In return the deer may get shot.
The corn machine feeds you, in return your credit card may get shot.

There must be an overpopulation of deer around your state too. Just travel around MS interstate systems and you can see enough deer carcasses to warrant a longer or different hunting season. It seems to me to be FAR more "beside the road" carcasses now than what I remember from the 70's and 80's.

Ill bet the corn is cheaper than Walmart's "squirrel" corn feed.

I haven't deer hunted in 15 yrs. The season and bag limit has really changed, Sept to mid Jan, 1 per day or something. The road kill is really high, especially in farm/hunting preserves that only kill trophy bucks. I've seen over 100 at one time in some fields, the crop loss must be high.
