We had 30" of snow. Spent 27 hours between saturday and sunday at home, work and her place plowing. So much fun..

I have a generator just in case SHTF. I needed it for 7 days when we had that freak 10-12" snowstorm in October a few years back. Leaves on the trees and wet snow was bad. I used the generator to run the pellet stove as a heat source.

I was in Tractor Supply this morning, had to pick up a couple of gun safes for my 2 boys, and saw that they had moved their 3500w propane powered generators to the center aisle and marked them down to $199. Propane would have to be the way to go for an engine you don't crank and run often, and the price is really good.
