    Update: Kirby Operation...

Hi Guys - Wow, what a ride so far

Because this has been (and will be), so life changing for me, I plan write a journal which I hope will make my experiences useful for others. If ever published, any proceeds will be donated to a Cancer Support Group in Australia. In any event I plan to make it "freely" available.

An opening remark: Find a friend. In my case my best friend is my wife, but it doesn't have to be a spouse/partner. It must be someone you trust completely to help you thru. If you don't have one of these, look more closely, you may be surprised.

For example; I could nominate many of you guys as a "good friend".

Thank you for all your support and prayers. I'm looking forward to many (well, several at least) productive years ahead of me

So glad to see you back on line and hopefully very soon back in the shop. I cannot even imagine what you and Carole have gone (are going) through, but I do believe a positive attitude is half the battle.

Wish you speedy recovery and I look forward to see many post from you

Hi Rod, it's Thanksgiving weekend here in the states. We have the family over and eat turkey dressing and cranberry sauce.,

This year we give thanks for many things, we're thankful you made it though OK. Hope your recovery progresses quickly and smoothly. We're thankful you're still here and part of the BT3 community.

Good to see you posting and knowing that you will be around for a long time now. I look forward to reading your journal when it it completed. Journals of struggles and changes are not fun for the person expereincing it, but the experiences do help others to know what is in store.

My wife had gall bladder surgery years ago and she felt like she was dying for months - when she found a few others who had that surgery. It helped her to discover that what she was experiencing was the same as what others had.

            Blessings to you.

Great seeing you back, Rod. With the outlook you have, and the support you're getting from Carole, I'm sure you'll see many more moons. I know this has been very hard on both of you, but the worst is over now. We still have good thoughts and plenty of prayers to help you and Carole the rest of the way.

The idea of writing about your experience is a great one. You should get plenty of support from this community, as well as others.

Rod, you know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I do have one question, though.

Has Carole been keeping the shop dusted while you were down??????

Good to see you back in action, Rod. I hope you have the speediest of recoveries and are able to resume things that you enjoy.
I know that I enjoy reading your posts immensely. Take it easy and post when you feel like it.

PS: I'd like to read the answer to Pappy's question as well.

Oh and if you become an author, does that mean we have to pay to read your posts?
