It is a memorial for them and those they fought with, that didn't make it home. Not any different then other groups (good and bad people make them up), but I would honestly expect that they would police themselves (aka keep the place clean, etc) and not a real problem.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

I'm sure they will be clean and tidy and as you said they are diverse.

They are so diverse that this action is -
Non political since their ranks encompass members of all political parties.
Non Racial since " do " ethnic groups.
Non Sexual since " do " bents
Non Religious since " do " religious and non
      religious groups.

I'll even be willing to bet some of them might be not only Vets, but also BT3000/3100 owners as am I !

It is sad they have so little respect for the laws of the country they fought to uphold. Would have expected better from other vets.

I'm a little confused - how is this related to woodworking?

I imagine that what they fought to uphold was not the political bickering that is dragging down your fine country.

                Well said Richard.

Though born in Leeds England, my mom grew up in Port Arthur Ontario from age 3-16. Do you live anywhere near there?

When you think of it, they were following this Country's Oldest Tradition

It's called "Civil Disobedience" and it's what we did to the British.

Whenever you see that phrase, think American Revolution, Rosa Parks etc.

                    It's not Politics, it's our Culture, it's American !

Events like this are convencing me to not vote for any incumbent politician in the next election. Inexperience is better than idiots who cannot work together to make our country better.

At least one good thing came out of the fiasco. Today, I started to process to be a volunteer for Honor Flight.

Yes, with the following rules:"This forum is for any topic that you would normally talk about at the office "around the coffee pot". ... I only ask that you steer away from topics on religion or politics. "

So it seems this political discussion would be off-topic for this forum.

We have been asked to keep the focus on woodworking, perhaps we could respect the direction of the moderators and avoid the political and off-topic discussions.

Interesting religious advertisement on that video. I might not have known that science is wrong and religion is right had I not watched your link. Guess that's the risk of citing "sources" that are not credible.

Front page for this tabloid has an article about the conspiracy surrounding the JFK assassination - who knew?
