I don't know. Just try to get help (from Microsoft) on Windows 95 as an example. It is pretty scarce. I got a Toshiba laptop with 95 and it runs great but takes forever to shut down. I seem to remember that that was an issue even back then.

It means you should take action. After April 8, 2014, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates.

True, but it was like the second coming of win 98se and truly stable. Solid OS. So far I believe win7 to be the same as xp in terms of stability - at least from an operators view.

With all the young'ins being literally born with some gizmo attached to their digits, I think win8 will be rapidly adopted and if its anything like win7 in terms of stability, it will be a great success.
