    LOML's Hospital Stay

As I said in the votining thread, the wife was admitted to the hospital Monday night from the ER. I had taken her in because she had passed a couple of clots of blood early in the afternoon and was getting bright red blood in her stools.

Got her home this afternoon. All the blood and urine work ups in the ER were negative for the source of the bleeding. Dotto for a CT scan of her abdomen. They did a full scope procedure last night. They found and rermoved a couple of polyps in her intestines and dosumented some internal hemmorioids that we already knew she had. The source of the bleeding turned out to be a stomach ulcer.

I never talked to the dr that did the scope, so I don't know if anything was done to repair the ulcer or not. She was given a regular diet for breakfast and lunch to see how she tolerated regular food. She was discharged this afternoon with no dietary retrictions, so it looks like everything is good, or at least on the mend.

Very scary symptoms. Here's hoping she overcomes the problem quickly and comfortably.

Glad to hear she's on the mend Pappy. My wife was in the hospital last week. She's home now and doing good. I've always been and independent, do-it-myself, problem solving guy and when I have to just sit and watch and leave everything in someone else's hands I feel so impotent. I don't know about you but it drives me crazy not being able to help in some way. Of course I have been doing the shopping, cooking, cleaning and fetching. : )

                Don,
Glad to hear all is well, now no chili or hot sauce for her. Only Jewish chicken soup, at least that was my mom's cure for just about everything.
