    Silly Rockler...

So I bought one of the glue brushes (which I love, by the way). Then I get this ad in my email:

    WHAT A DEAL!!!

Wanted to buy one of those last time I was there, but was sold out. I'm thinking the price is going up.
I have a little blog about my shop

Man they could have at least made it $7.97.

How are those brushes? Easy to clean up? Does it apply the glue easily/evenly? If glue dries, is it easy to clean?
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

do i want two or is one enough? Considering the generous discount for 2.

you might want to check out your local discount store (Walmart, Target, etc). They sell silicone basting brushes which appear to be the same. I think they usually run about $5

Those work too but these have a nice taper to them on the end and also are narrow enough to cover a 3/4" dado almost perfect. They also have the scraper/spreader at the end which is nice and soft enough to not mar a surface.

                Five stars in my book.

I bought one a few weeks ago on impulse. Cleans easy, spreads even, and I like the paddle end for cleaning squeeze out from corners.

I also like that I don't have to pick loose bristles out of the glue.

My only quibble is that I would rather it be a little narrower so that glue doesn't spill over the edge of a 3/4" thick board.

I saw those in one of Rockler's fliers and wrote it off as a gimmick. Looks like I'll have to change my opinion. Something else for the list.

Maybe I can finally reduce my dependance on Harbor Freight disposable foam brushes. Then again, how is the glue conttrol on this version? Is it easy to overcharge them and end up with a mess?

Unsure what this means. The glue doesn't go in the brush.

I think your first impression is correct. I've tried all sorts of different glue applicators and the best one is still the finger tip.

Got to finally test this thing out recently and it's worth every penny and then some. At $10 it would have been worth it to stop having to buy disposable brushes.

Will be getting one more for the shop and a couple for the kids for white glue projects in the house.
