I have seen several local scams for power tools lately on cl. That may be the answer for the seller not having the equipment data, it is not his tool. One that I caught up on was a Grizz band saw that was for sale at an estate sale. I guess that if they had interested customers they would run buy it at the sale. I have no idea how they plan on collecting the money for these scams. Some people will send money or leave earnest money.
