Will the real hummer please fly up?

Took this this afternoon. He's guarding the feeder nearby and chasing away the other hummer(s). Put up 2 more feeders but he won't share. Chases any intruders until they are completely out of the yard - at least 50 feet away. Then comes back to his perch.

Anyway, I fancy his choice of perch... that one doesn't seem to bother him any, I guess not a threat. The hardware hummer is holding up some windchimes.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

He's in love and won't allow another suitor within range. Can you blame him? A good looking hardware hummer with chimes is a great catch.
Nice shot. At 5 ft he evidently don't consider you a threat to his love life.

In our part of Tx. the Hummers are so spoiled that if I don't turn the sprinkler on by 05:30 they start buzzing close to our heads. They like their morning shower and I have some misters set up to water along one path. They love it, but can't understand that with water rationing we can only turn it on twice a week.

Once it's on, there are 9 spray heads and you should watch the fight for 'position' at the best spots!

              Nice photo...

When I saw Hummer, I was thinking H2 or something silly like that... So I kind of ignored this thread...

They are funny birds, sometimes they play nice with others, sometimes not, but always fun to watch.
