    That certainly qualifies!

I have a project waiting in the wings. '65 Chevy C-10 that will have basically the same running gear, except with a rear from a '66. She will get the front suspension pirated from an '82 truck to add disc brakes and power steering. I have the original version of what is now the Edelbrock Performance Carb, a Carter Competition Plus, sitting on a shelf. Most of the components are already gathered and sitting here, just need the time to start tearing her down to the frame.

      RPO codes Z72, Z21, NK1, ZL2, ZJ7, ZJ9, V01, U35, U79, U16, U17, N44, N10, L89, K85, JL8, G80, G31, D90, D80, D55, C50, C60, A31, AS1, AS4

But I haven't really thought about it that much.
I've driven Acuras... They are okay. If I went Asian, it would be a Lexus though. Mind you, the last Acura I drove was one of those wierd 5 cylinder Vigor models... I think it was a mid 90s car. (company car years ago...).

When I was younger, and in my sports car days, I had a car that was a dream to drive. A 1976 Toyota Celica GT Liftback. It had the 20R 2.2 liter 4cyl that I had modified with a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) cam, intake and exhaust manifolds, dual side draft Weber carbs, Cherry Bomb muffler (yeah, it was LOUD), urethane bushings, TRD springs, Bilistein shocks / struts, and Toyo F7 tires. It was a SCREAMER... I drove it from Tucson back home to Oregon for Christmas a couple of times. Thank God Nevada has very few highway patrol units between Reno and Vegas!

Come to think of it, I still miss that car...

        Dreams come and go

I always wanted to be a pilot. I got my license in my late 30's, bought a Cessna 172 in my late 40's and had to sell it in my mid 50's when I could not pass my physical anymore.

        BUT IT WAS FUN!

Well Pappy, mine is built in a '80 C10 so she does have power front disc brakes and power steering. The '80 was mine to start with so I knew I had a good foundation to put the '54 on. BTW I got a new VIN number and it's now titled as a '54.
In my old age I look back and realize how lucky I was to live in a time when common sense was common.

My dream car is a little older. I want a 30's model Cadillac with the V-16 motor. A 1931 Roadster would be great! I had a 39 Buick I was trying to restore once, but had to sell it as I had no facilities for it. I wish I still had it.

My dream car, 1965 Thunderbird. This was my first car, I bought it
for $300 in 1974, a month after I got my license. The T-Bird had the best interior of any car I have owned since.
