Just wondering about installing Win 7 on a new Hard Drive if the old Hard Drive fails and the notebook comes with a recovery partition in a hidden directory on the HD but no install discs.
From what I've read the recovery program will repair or reinstall the OS on the drive with the recovery partition. But that is no good if you have a total HD failure. How, then, do you install your legal copy of Win 7 on a new HD to replace the failed one if there are no installation discs? Am I missing something? Thanks.
