I've refrained from commenting but moderators are asking for suggestions.

First, Sailor is maybe a bit unreasonable.
First he b*tches because he's asked to remove a post that violates the rules and takes it as a personal affront; I think he forgot the rules.
Second he complains about advise he receives for free - you know the old adage about free advise. Still, it's better than no advise at all.

So now as to what to do.
Maybe when we register with this board there should be a screen that spells out the key rules. Not some 60-page document like i had to acknowledge for Apple iTunes recently but a 2-3 bullet line rules. Have him check I agree before going on.
And then, if there's a infraction, send him a message - you agreed to these rules (copied) when you registered. Please remove this post.

Finally, don't beat yourself over the head with this stuff, there's always someone who is just unreasonable beyond salvation - maybe a bad day at the office or just bad upbringing. You can't do anything about them, just hope we don't attract them.

I thank the moderators for the wonderful job they do.

    Suggested bullet line rules:
    1) No political or Religious posts Whatsoever
    2) Keep it Clean
    3) All Advice offered is to the best ability of the giver, receivers should judge for themselves what its worth.

      I think that's a great idea.

I would add one more bullet, though:
      4) User accepts all risk and liability for use of this board. Woodworking is inherently dangerous and user accepts all responsibility for their safety.

      Or something along those lines.

+ 1 on what Loring and Woodturner just posted.

It's cut and dried. Myself, I have to hand it to these mods. They've kept this site interesting without the hassle of name calling, and general below the belt punching. Times I think they are wrong, but that's because I'm a human with human faults. None of the web forums I belong to is as interesting and full of great information on wood working as well as some time good humor. Give the mods, all of them, credit for doing a great job!

I do not understand all the commotion. OP is overly sensitive, time to move on.
