    Skol Vikings!

I am surprised at the weight I feel lifted off my shoulders. I always love to see my Vikings (I grew up in MN) do well, but I had underestimated just how much I HATE losing to Dallas.

I'd love to see them finally win it all, but after today I am at peace.

Wasn't able to catch the game, but from the box score, it doesn't look like my boy Percy Harvin made much of a contribution...

Vikes crushed Dallas. Wahoo! Not really a Vikings fan, just hate Dallas. Jets also won. I like that - even as a Bills fan - because I think the Colts will have an easier time against the Jets than they would have against San Diego.

I got up at 4:00 am so I would have the garage ready for spray foam tomorrow morning and still be able to catch the game. Finished in time, but then slept through the game.

I'm a 'Boys fan but also have always liked that 'kid' quarterbacking the Vikings. Sorry to see the game wasn't closer, but not all that upset about the outcome.

Now the Vikings need to pull the tapes from the Dallas / New Orleans game and see what they did to stop the Saints. I'll be pulling for them next week AND in the Super Bowl!

Go Vikes! I've been a Viking's fan since 1969. Between the Vikes, and being a local "fair weather" Bill's fan, I've watched 8 Super Bowls go down the toilet vs 0 wins. I was stoked when they signed Favre, and it's turned out better than I could've hoped for. He was all that team has been missing for the past couple of years. Win or lose next week, it's been a great year.

Guess the Cowboys and the Chargers had other plans today and didn't show up. Next week should be very interesting as to who goes to the SB. Feel sorry for my BIL who is a Big Cowboy fan. He was in the air fly to Little Rock for his mothes 84 Birthday and probably didn't know the score untill he landed at least he didn't have to watch it.

One of my mother's 6 siblings moved to Dallas twenty odd years ago. The rest are here in Minnesota, or just over the border in Iowa. The Dallas family’s kids and other friends of the family from the area did a LOT of trash talking via email/facebook over the last week. I believe there were at least a dozen liters of various adult beverages wagered on the game as well. For some reason they were awfully slow about replying to my emails last night

The part that makes it even sweeter is that my green and gold brother-in-law from Wisconsin had to watch ‘Ol Greybeard win a playoff game when the Packers were off sitting on a beach somewhere making plans for next year (though to be fair, I’d still have picked A. Rodgers over Farve for my QB at the start of the season).

Unfortunately, it makes the OT loss to the Bears a bit more painful as I would have liked their chances next week in the Metrodome much better than in the Superdome…

UC: Harvin didn’t make too much of a receiving impact, but he had an important rush, and did a great job pulling coverage from Rice and the other receivers. Farve likes him, I don’t think anyone would suggest he was out of the mix yesterday or on future games. Dallas was so bad, that he didn’t get many kick-off return chances either…

Just one of many frustrating examples of the Vikings defeating the Rams when it counted. Aaarrggghhh!
