    I'm baaaaaack

Well, it's been sometime since I was on, things have been up and down. Short story, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January, and after all sorts of pokes and prods and sticks, I spent the summer at the Medical University of South Carolina as part of a clinical trial to cure prostate cancer. They tried their best to kill me, but it didn't work and at my first check-up last month, my PSA count was "undetectable," so that was good news. I will be seeing them at MUSC every 3 months for a while, gradually moving toward once a year. They will follow me the rest of my life, which is a good thing.

In the meantime, my shop went to **** in a hand basket with things piling up all over the place. Last week Ken Massingale gave me his Ridgid 3250 (he pounced on a deal for a Unisaw) and I dutifully passed the trusty BT to my son so he could start his shop.

So my project this spring is to get the Ridgid up and running and the shop back into operation and then take on some new projects as my strength starts to come back to me.

    It's good to be home.

    Ken

PS - Ken Massingale let it out about his prayer request for me. It worked. Thanks to all in my woodworking family - God bless you.

Wow, both Carolina Kens appear in one post!

I'm glad to hear you're well, Ken. It sounds like it was a pretty hairy situation. Youi must be relieved!

      Welcome back.

Congratulations Ken. P/C is a tough condition to deal with. I was reading about a non-invasive ultrasound treatment that they have had good luck with. Have you any info on that?

Welcome back and it is great to read a "happy tone" in your post! It sure is good to hear from you again. Tell that other Ken that just because he has a Unisaw, he doesn't have to be a stranger here!
