Christmas shopping for my wife. I picked up some makeup, etc. For what I spent for about a month's worth of stuff I could keep myself in shaving cream, shampoo and soap for at least a year. Oh and if you ever want to buy her makeup, just go look in her bathroom at what brand she wears, go to a department store, find the counter that sells that brand and stand around looking lost. I must say the sales lady there was very good, and very patient.

Bath and Body Works had a closeout of several items LOML uses. It was the end of the series, at half price. Stuff like Bath and Body Lotion, Body Shampoo, and other stuff.
My orders were to buy whatever stock I could. I needed to visit 3 local stores to run out of money. Total was about $700. That was nearly 3 years ago, and she still has some left. The stores thought I was opening my own store. I got over the trauma.

I know what you guys mean. I look at the price of some of my wife's cosmetics and start imagining them as similarly priced tools. Bessey Clamp, Router Bit, BT3100!!

My wife likes a certain perfume. It happened to be less expensive in the airport duty free stores than in regular retail stores. I bought it for her a couple of times. Expensive, but then again a bottle would last for quite a while.
Don't get me started on clothes. Or haircuts. There isn't a barber in Tahoe City and flying back to barber I used in the Bay Area is too expensive, so now I'm limited to the local ladies salon. My haircuts cost $25. I don't even ask what they charge the women.Comment
