    I'm On Bake

Yesterday my digital thermometer read out 104 degrees at the peak of the day, and that was in the shade. This morning the weather calls for 100 degrees. It's a 56 year record breaker.

Join the club... And I think it would be easier to eat the air up here right now than to breathe it...

We're expecting 105 heat index today (temp ONLY 95). This is after the first half of June was one of the coldest on record, so I guess the month will come out "average."

I don't want to even think of what our heat index is. To all this add 90-95% humidity.

Hot up here too. I blame Texas--they should do a better job of keeping their heat within the state...

We could put a dome over it.

If there could be a benefit of the heat is that lacquer and WB poly dry faster. Gotta retard the lacquer. Stick it out in the sun and it bakes on.

Finally starting to warm up out on the left coast. Been real cool all month but now summer will start. Close to if not in hundreds by the weekend.

We are looking at a real nice day here, high in the upper 60's with a nice breeze off of the ocean. As I look out my window I see the hanging flower pots in full bloom and the hummingbirds are visiting.

Bill, on the Sunny Oregon Coast, where we have perfected summer.

Neighbor asked the other day, did I still have that a/c I need to put in. LOL The last time we tried to do it, he wasn't feeling well, and ended up in emergency surgery, getting 9' of intestine removed.

Now, I am trying to get used to the heat, in prep for roofing. Heck I will probably wait till next year to install it. Only been 17 years.

AKA if you can't take the heat, go into the a/c.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

                            Uh, excuse you?

Not my fault, this stuff is coming from much further south than us... And Florida has points farther south than Texas...

Anyway, it's only 100 deg F here today...

My plastic small parts bins in the shop are gonna warp I bet...

Oh, thanks, Jeff. My co-workers are wondering what all the snickering is about.
