    No more pony tails...

The kids were a little too quite this morning while working on a craft project, so we went to see why. Turns out my 4.9 year old was quietly playing barber with his little sister. She was SO proud of the haircut her brother gave her -- "Jake-bop cut mine hair!!" We didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise -- After the real stylist "finished" the haircut this afternoon, it turned out to be a really cute bob... probably something we'd never have the guts to try out on her ourselves.

First picture was before the incident -- note the long, flowing hair . Next is the cut her brother helped with. Finally, is what we ended up with.

A redhead? I feel sorry for any future boyfriends.... She's a cutie. I feel sorry for you too.

That first picture is just great.

I have a niece who has red hair with a natural curl. They let it grow, so, she always had a really cute long wavy head of hair. You'd swear she couldn't be cuter. Earlier this year, they cut it short like you daughter has. Yeah, she's still just as cute.

It a good thing your little barber didn't get much shorter, though. At least he left it long enough the haircut could be "finished".

I believe your little girl would be cute with any kind of hair cut - or no hair at all for that matter.

My wife will braid my 6 year old's hair into two French braids (I guess that's what they're called) for when she goes swimming or for other events where she won't want her hair floating around. If she leaves it overnight, when my wife undoes it in the morning she has a curly perm. It's like two hairdo's in one.

Not sure how my wife does all that. If I'm in charge of getting her ready it's either a hairband or a ponytail. The ponytail's not that great, but it looks like I made some effort.

Been there, When my oldest was 4 she the hair of both of her 3 year old sisters. Their hair didn't look anywhere near that good even after a trip to the beauty parlor. Fortunately LOML thought it was funny ... eventually

She is just as cute as she was with the long hair. Look at it this way, she will be cooler in the hot months ahead and the hair will grow back.

She's a cutie alright. And with that red hair, I feel sorry for her brother when she grows up some. You should see how sisters, who are both red's, rumble when issues come up(DAMHIK)

                    She's a cutie Alex.

One of my daughters cut her bangs a few years back....unfortunately, it was very tough to turn it into anything cute until it grew back.

She could be bald and still be gorgeous.

Thanks, guys. Her new haircut is really growing on us now!

She has hints of red in her hair, but it usually looks more red in photos than it does in real life.

I love that first picture, too. I was trying to get a shot of all three of them together and she started running toward me. Jacob started running soon after, and it turned out nearly perfect!
