For me, bliss was when I could take an honest shower. That is, without the baggie and tape over the hand (at first), and then even if no baggie and tape, the stitches would scratch, not to mention I couldn't stomach to look at it for long. I had it much less than you, only about 1/2 inch off the top of my middle finger, but I still fell your pain - literally. Not to get too gruesome, but did they reattach?
