Rod, Sorry your not going to be biking for a bit. Hopefully, you won't need to move anything on it. With my schedule, I am more likely to have something like this happen (working tired), so I have gone to a guide system. You might post later what your setup was when you were cutting thin strips later. We all have learned from you before, this would be another good lesson.

It is SO good, to see Adele posting as well. How is your recovery going?
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Best Wishes. Scares the 'pee wadin' out of this amateur. I know it's only a matter of time before I do something similar. When I first bought the saw, I wouldn't turn it on for weeks. It just looked like an inevitable accident. When I turned it on, it scared the 'as above' out of me for weeks; I was very careful. Now It's a matter of time before I get tired, distracted careless. Your story will only delay my date with the inevitable.

I included this link. It seems on the up & up, but I have found no one to corroborate it.

I hope you feel better soon and it doesn't slow you down too much. I appreciate your sharing your story as it is always good to be reminded to be careful. It is such a dangerous hobby and we are all one slip away...

Distressing and sobering news, Rod. Heal quickly and fully, and try to take some small comfort in knowing that your misfortune is serving to make a whole lot of folks be a lot more mindful of the dangers of this hobby.

Hey Rod. Sorry to hear about losing your thumb. So were you just reaching around the guard and got sucked into the blade? Anything you would have done differently to prevent this horrible accident?

Well dang. I am truly sorry to hear this Rod. Even though we're oceans apart, let us know if there is anything you or Carole need. And be sure to DO WHAT SHE SAYS so you can recover soon!!!

I'm sorry to hear of this...I don't make it in here a bunch these days...to see something like this is very sobering.
