Well... That made for an interesting weekend...
He had the surgery Friday, late. The patient before him had a few complications that the Dr. wanted to insure were handled 100% before passing off to the nurses.
We visited with him most of the day Saturday, for a man of his years, he looks worn down still, but he looks about 10x better than he did a mere week ago. The dialysis really helped a lot. He has fair color back and is able to get up and around...
We are expecting to talk to the specialists etc and get tested for donation. I do not believe that either LOML or I are good candidates at this point due to weight problems. (We are both ACTIVELY working on dropping the weight, she is doing better than I am at it...). We will see though. They say he has to be on Dialysis for 6 months before they even put him on the list for a transplant...
